This project was first presented at the Fresh Paint Fair in 2019. It was a milestone for me in developing the unique technique I work with today. Calligraphy writings and ancient scrolls piqued my interest. Meaningful black lines that are sometimes indecipherable have become in my works discontinuous, existing but non-existent lines, composed of tiny dots and many details. A thin and delicate layer of material reveals and hides information that will never be fully visible.
